Another breakfast recipe for you to try out.

Smoothies are great and all that, but sometimes it’s good to switch things up a little. Porridge is my go too if I’m running low on fruit, or if I just fancy a change.

I like how the banana caramelises in the bowl when heated. Goes great with the berries, dates, raisins and seeds on top too.

  • 1 cup gluten free oatsPorridge setup
  • 1.5 cups water or dairy free milk
  • 1 banana
  • A handful each of chopped dates, raisins and blueberries
  • A sprinkle of seeds (I use flax, pumpkin and sunflower)
  • A squirt of maple syrup

  1. Add the oats and water to your bowl, along with your banana, chopped in slices.
  2. Ping in the microwave for 2-3 minutes, or stir on the hob ion a saucepan for a similar amount of time (maybe a little longer).
  3. When it’s cooked through, serve up and top with the dates, raisins, berries, seeds and a squirt of maple syrup.
  4. Snap a photo for your Instagram to show to all your friends, then enjoy!
