My daily to-do list didn’t change much over the past few months…

So, over the past few months I’ve locked myself away and been writing an e-book. The editing is coming to a close, and it’s just about ready to be released, which is pretty exciting for me.

The book is called: Plant-Based Diet 101 – The Handbook of Frequently Asked Questions on Whole-Food, Plant-Based Nutrition.

A bit of a mouthful, I know. I’m sorry, but it’s the best I could come up with… Anyway, I thought I’d explain a little bit about what the book is about, why I wrote it, when it’s being released, why you might be interested etc…

I’ve been eating this way for a while now, and the whole-food, plant based diet has benefited my life in so many ways. Not only has it has led to improvements in my health and body composition, it has also made me a better athlete. It helps me think more clearly, and be a bit more mindful. It reduces the impact I have on the planet, and has made me more compassionate. The list goes on and on.

I mainly created this e-book because I wanted others to experience the same benefits that I have. I wanted to share with you the way I approach my diet, and give you the tools to start implementing changes into your life, if you choose to.

In the book I’ve tried my best to share with you the answers to the most frequently asked questions when it comes to a whole-food, plant-based diet. Just a few that we look at include:

  • What are the main benefits of eating this way?
  • How in the world will I get enough protein?
  • I have no money. Can I eat plant-based on a budget?
  • I’ve failed so may times before. How can I begin to implement changes?
  • What if my friends make fun of me and my family disown me?

And about thirty or so more of your most burning queries. From the big benefits and the main myths, to changing habits and finding new recipes, hopefully I’ve got you covered. I do think that by the end of the book you’ll have all the tools you’ll need to embark on a healthier lifestyle, and achieve your goals.

I laid down a few rules for myself before writing this book:

1. Keep to the basics.

I could have tried to go all scientific on your ass, citing this study and that and going into detail about the complex biochemistry that goes on when we eat; but that’s not all too interesting to most people, me included.

So I kept to the basics. There’s still enough info in the book so that you’ll have a good understanding of plant based nutrition, but hopefully not so much that it will be overwhelming. Besides, there are references and links to further reading at the end for those of you who are really keen…

2. Make it practical.

There’s no point in having a load of information if you have no idea how to apply it, especially with nutrition. So I have tried my best to make the book as practical as possible, to give you the tools to actually start implementing changes into your life.

3. Make it accessible.

They say you should always target your book at a specific audience, but I don’t really agree with that. I wanted this book to be available and applicable to everyone. Whether you’re a full time vegan, or just plant curious. Sedentary or pro athlete. Big or small, wide or thin. Wealthy or no so. Whoever you are, this info could help you in some shape or form.

4. Don’t preach.

Yeah, this diet works well for me, and I know of many others who benefit from it too. That’s great. But the last thing I want do is force my views on others. I don’t wanna be that guy who’s always telling people how to live their lives. So in the book, I try to just share what works for me, and what the evidence I have seen shows.

All I ask in return is that you approach the book with an open mind, take what resonates with you, and throw away the rest. Deal?

So if you’ve enjoyed reading the blog and perhaps want to find out a little more about how a plant based diet could benefit you, the best thing to do right now would be subscribe by email below, and you’ll get a notification as soon as the book is released.

I’ll also be releasing a big plant-based infographic to go along with the book. I’m pretty pleased with that, and hope you’ll like it.

Anyways, in the meantime, peace out and have a great day.
