To the very first episode of the HERO Podcast, where I outline the “why” behind the podcast, and how it might benefit you moving forwards.
This is a project I’ve been wanting to undertake for quite some time.
I’ve been a big fan of podcasts for a number of years. I’m an avid consumer, and I actually wrote a big article a while back listing my favourite shows related to all things health and fitness.
They’re no doubt one of my favourite ways to devour information, perhaps even more so than reading or watching videos. Partly because podcasts give me the freedom to move around – it’s hard to read a book when you’re climbing a tree… But also because it almost feels like a dialogue. It’s a rare chance to mind-meld with and eavesdrop in on some of the greatest, most influential minds on the planet. Which is unprecedented, and priceless.
So I’ve been wanting to get involved.
Not because I consider myself a great, influential mind.
But because I have an itch to scratch. And because it scares me a little. And I was told that you should often (not always) follow your fear.
I enjoy writing. I enjoy putting together in-depth blog posts, creating courses, designing eBooks and filming YouTube videos. But podcasting is something that’s always intrigued me, and it always will until I give it a go. So that’s what I’m going to do.
So that’s what I’m going to do.
Maybe it’ll last a few months, maybe a few years. Maybe just a couple of people will listen to it, or maybe thousands. Whatever the outcome of this experiment, I’m sure I’ll learn something from it. And if you take away something useful, then that’s great too.

What is the HERO Podcast all about?
My goal is to make The HERO Podcast an extension of the other work that I do here at Health Room, but I suppose in a more raw, unedited format.
The core message will remain the same:
Exploring and sharing ideas in healthy living, mindful movement and human performance.
As well as taking personal satisfaction in the above, the goal is to help you, the listener, too.
To help you eat a little healthier, move a little better, be a tad more mindful, and take the next step in realizing your dream and creating the life you want to live – whatever that may look like.
Ultimately, to help you unlock your potential, and unleash your inner HERO.
I hope that in some shape or form, I’m able to do just that.
