Really enjoyed your e-book, especially your non-judgemental approach. Kudos to you for being 100% plant based, but keeping the e-book informative and compassionate for those that may be less so. You’ve done a great job presenting the material in an easy to understand and approachable way.

Why this book?
I’ve been eating a plant-based diet for a while now, and it has benefited my life in so many ways.
I went from being a run down student who was constantly ill, inflamed and fed up, to a plant powered movement practitioner and blogger, following my passion and creating the life I want to live.
I wrote this eBook so you could experience the same benefits that I have. I wanted to share with you the way I approach my diet, and give you the tools to start implementing changes into your life.
To help you develop healthy, sustainable eating habits, for weight control, athletic performance, and lasting wellness. And beyond.
What does the book include?
In the book I’ve tried my best to share with you the answers to the most frequently asked questions when it comes to a whole-food, plant-based diet. Just a few that we look at include:
- What are the main benefits of eating this way?
- What can I eat?
- How in the world will I get enough protein?
- I have no money. Can I eat plant-based on a budget?
- I’ve failed so may times before. How can I begin to implement changes?
- What if my friends make fun of me and my family disown me?
And about thirty or so more of your most burning queries. From the big benefits and the main myths, to changing habits and finding new recipes, hopefully we’ve got you covered.
A few ground rules
I laid down a few rules for myself before writing this book:
1. Keep to the basics.
I could have tried to go all scientific, citing this study and that and going into detail about the complex biochemistry that goes on when we eat; but that’s not all too interesting to most people, me included. So I kept to the basics.
There’s still enough info in the book so that you’ll have a good understanding of plant based nutrition, but hopefully not so much that it will be overwhelming. And there are references and links to further reading at the end for those of you who are really keen…
2. Make it practical.
There’s no point in having a load of information if you have no idea how to apply it, especially with nutrition. So I have tried my best to make the book as practical as possible, to give you the tools to actually start implementing changes into your life.
3. Make it accessible.
They say you should always target your book at a specific audience, but I don’t really agree with that. I wanted this book to be available and applicable to everyone. Whether you’re a full time vegan, or just plant curious. Sedentary or pro athlete. Big or small, wide or thin. Wealthy or no so. Whoever you are, this info could help you in some shape or form.
I’m self publishing the book, and have made it completely uncopyright. That means its contents are completely in the public domain, free for you to copy, paste and use however you want. You can even share it with others if you really like, although I would obviously prefer if they bought it instead…
4. Don’t preach.
Yeah, this diet works well for me, and I know of many others who benefit from it too. That’s great. But the last thing I want do is force my views on others. I don’t wanna be that guy who’s always telling people how to live their lives. So in the book, I try to just share what works for me, and what the evidence I have seen shows.
All I ask in return is that you approach the book with an open mind, take what resonates with you, and throw away the rest. Deal? Cool.

Why should I trust you?
I’m Luke Jones: blogger, mover, and creator this site, Health Room. I have also written for other sites such as Mind Body Green, Natural News, No Meat Athlete, The Vegan Society and Tiny Buddha.
I used a plant-based diet to significantly improve the health conditions I developed in my late teens, and have also experienced improvements in my body composition and performance levels as an athlete.
But it goes further than that. The change in diet was the catalyst for so many other changes I’ve made: altering my training, meditating regularly, changing my career trajectory, and improving my relationships with others. All in all, it made me a better version of myself.
It’s quite amazing the impact the diet has had on my life, and I have seen it do similar things for many others. And who knows, it might do the same for you?
